Zak Miller party of 4 rated the food at Sun Garden
Cafe on 2/10/2010 as excellent because "inventive, beautifully
presented and delicious." and writes: "My wife and I often take out
of town guests to this restaurant because it is so reliable. On 2/10
we had another fantastic experience. Denise was our server, she
makes you feel like your an old friend and is a an absolute pleasure
to be around. Her blend of attentive service and witty humor is a
treat. I ordered the sweet potato pancakes, they are fluffy with the
just the right hint of cinnamon and nutmeg, a specialty of the
house. My wife always orders a benedict dish because this is one of
the few restaurants in town that make their hollandaise from scratch
daily and don't use one of those powdered mixes. She ordered the
gulf shrimp benedict which is loaded with shrimp, cooked tender and
a very substantial portion. Our guests had the Scotch eggs and the
flower child omelet respectively. Both raved. The restaurant is very
clean and funky, lots of bright colors and an interesting mural of
old Life magazine ads dons a wall in one of the dining rooms. There
is a lovely outdoor patio for dining on nice weather days. Like I
said, we like the restaurant because it is consistent in all areas,
in fact when your guests pause after dinner and drinks to reflect on
how nice breakfast was, then kudos deserve to be dished out."
