Anonymous dined on pizza and garlic bread and
rated the food excellent because, "Delicious Wisconsin type
pizza! Relaxing atmosphere!" and writes on 3/7/10, "We
visited Shaner's on Sunday, March 7, 2010. The main purpose was
to have Shaner's Pizza. We are Snowbirds and we try to get there
once or twice each season--usually bringing guests with us.
Coming from Wisconsin we love the pizza that he makes. We had
guests with us Sunday from Menomonnee Falls,Wisconsin, and they
agreed that this was a typical Wisconsin thin crust pizza!! The
waitress was friendly very attentive to our needs. Service was
great. Our guests enjoyed it, too!"

crust pizza and Greek Salad ever!!!" and writes on July 25,
2009, "We love to eat at Shaner's while we're on vacation from
Delaware. The pizza is the best in Sarasota! The service is
outstanding, especially Crystalle! She was able to keep my ten
year old son very happy, as she conversed with him about sports.
We recommend it highly, and will always go back. It's a great
family place to eat."

Anonymous party of 3 had dinner at Shaner's and
rated the pizza, wings, stuffed shells excellent because,
"fresh, hot and scrumptious" and writes on May 10, 2009, "I
rated the service excellent on this visit as well as all prior
visits. We ordered a pizza, half with pepperoni and half
sausage. The thin crust is reminiscent of Ledo's pizza out near
the University of Maryland but folks from Wisconsin (including
the owner) lay claim to its origins. Either way, it is
delicious. We split the wings, too--half hot, half mild, and all
of us went home happy. My friend loved the stuffed shells she
ordered and was thrilled with the leftovers for lunch the next
day. The food was piping hot when served and Pete gave our table
just the right amount of attention."

Anonymous dined on pizza and salads and
rated the food excellent because, "The pizza was fantastic!."
and writes on 11/30/2004 "My parents took me to Shaner's for pizza when I was in Sarasota for Thanksgiving. I
grew up in Wisconsin, where pizza is thin and crispy and cut in
squares. Sadly, in North Carolina, where I recently moved to,
the closest approximation to this comes from Domino's. It turns
out that Shane Rawley, who owns the restaurant, went to the same
high school as I did, and obviously missed that pizza too! The
pizza at Shaner's was great. We all loved it. I think my father
would go there every night if my mother would allow it. The
service was good, sometimes a little slow, but nothing major.
When presented with fantastic pizza like this, it wouldn't have
even mattered. Now if they just had frozen custard, it would be
like being in Wisconsin, except with much better weather! I'm
sure we'll be going back every time I am in Sarasota!"
