An anonymous writer tells us on 3/9/2003: "While the
food at this restaurant was very good, it would be what was expected
for a restaurant with in this price range. The biggest
disappointment was the lack of sense that our choice of their
restaurant was important (if for no other reason than that we might
return for another visit, let alone look for a way to vent our
dissatisfaction). Their inclination to help us celebrate a special
occasion seemed to be an inconvenience in spite of the price they
exact for their menu. For a restaurant of this caliber, the wait
staff was less than refined. Have the INS check their I-9. At the
end of the evening we were given a small bowl of whipped cream with
a candle on it! Kids did not seem to be welcome at all. An empty
table near the window to the water was denied to us in spite of our
request at reservation and again on arrival, and later the same
table was given to a walk-in party of 4. Furthermore, despite our
request for a non-smoking table we were given a table right next to
the bar where smoking was permitted. Overall, while the food was
good, we are not inclined to patronize a business that makes you
feel like they are doing you a courtesy to offer you their 3
1/2-star menu." Angela Foster writes: "This was my
first time at Pattigeorge's and I had a great time. Actually
everyone in the party had a great time. The food, service, and
atmosphere were outstanding. I would recommend this restaurant
to everyone." |
