party of 5 had dinner at the Olive Garden in Sarasota and rated
the pizza excellent and writes on December 2, 2006, "Our
daughter Larissa have her birthday party at Olive Garden. The
waitress sang a birthday song and brought a birthday cake this
makes the day unforgettable. The waitress Jeanny was perfect she
made a great job, so we have to come there 3 times ago. At our
last day of vacation our daughter was crying because she is
missing Jeanny. So we are back in Germany and hope the next time
when we come to Florida back we can see Jeanny again. Our
daughter said she is the best waitress ever.
Please excuse our bad English."

Howard party of 3 ordered Shrimp & Crab Ravioli and Chicken
Alfredo and rated the food excellent and writes on January 9,
2005, "On 1-8-05, my boyfriend, friend & I visited Olive Garden
for dinner in Sarasota, FL.; this was my 3rd visit to this
particular Olive Garden, and I am thoroughly impressed with the
food, service, atmosphere, and outstanding greeting we received
as soon as we walked in the front door. The chefs at this
particular Olive Garden are the very best at what they do, and
every other Olive Garden in the USA should follow their lead;
the taste of their Alfredo sauce and the shrimp & crab ravioli
exceeds all of my expectations, and I definitely don't mind the
40-mile drive from Port Charlotte.....it's DEFINITELY worth
it!!!" Paula Hook
rated the food excellent because, "it was eye pleasing, served
on warm plates, & new entrees" Paula ordered Mixed Grill (Steak
& Chicken) VERY GOOD & Chicken Scampi (GOOD) and writes on
11/12/04: "As soon as we entered the restaurant, we were greeted
by two hosts which informed of the estimated wait time and
informed us of the specials. We were then greeted by a hostess
introducing & allowing us to sample various forms of wine. There
were no tip trays available (which usually denotes the
expectance of a tip). She was courteous, friendly, and wine
smart. This was a great conversation starter as well as
pre-dinner service. I will return in the future! From our
entrance to our exit, the service was wonderful & the food was
great." Anonymous
visited the Olive Garden in Bradenton and rated the food poor
and writes on 10/30/2004: "We arrived at approx 4:10PM. I asked
the waitress if we could still get soup, salad and bread sticks.
In my opinion she played dumb and replied you can always get
soup, salad and bread sticks. The salad filled about half of the
bowl and had too much dressing. The bread sticks were clearly
leftovers and were room temp. Dry and crunchy on the ends. The
soup was tasteless. We were given exactly three bread sticks. It
was like she was rationing the food. When we asked for a refill
of the bread sticks she acted disgusted and brought exactly two.
We were sitting there with paper napkins and watched them
prepare the other tables for dinner with cloth napkins. When the
waitress brought the bill we were charged $8.75 each for the
soup, salad & bread sticks. Expecting the $5.95 price as
advertised on TV I was shocked. When I asked the waitress about
it she said lunch was just till 4PM. When I told her had we been
informed we would not have ordered the way we had. She offered a
half hearted sorry and walked away. Now, I ask you, who in their
right might mind would pay $8.75 for soup, salad and bread
sticks??? If we had ordered numerous refills it might(?) have
been a little easier to take? We do not plan to return."

Everything I said about the food and service is true. However
today I received a nice letter from the manager and a gift
certificate. I want to give credit where credit is due." |
