Anonymous party of 2 dined at Gecko's on State Road 70 and
ordered wings. pasta special, hamburger and rated the food fair
and writes on September 14, 2006, "The place was crowded, so we
thought everyone must know a good restaurant. Well, we were
wrong. I had ordered a special of the day pasta dish. My friend
ordered a hamburger. We had a chicken wing appetizer to start.
The wings were "fair", other restaurants do a better job. They
brought out the hamburger first (no pasta dish came). A wait
person arrived and asked how the food was. I said we ate waiting
for another dish. She said she would check. Finally, after
another 5 minutes the other dish arrived and it wasn't hot. Had
to get the wait person and send it back. Later on a manager type
appeared and asked how our meal was, we told him the ordeal, he
offered another meal on the house. We said that we didn't want
anything for free, he said that he would take the returned
(cold) meal off of the bill."

1 and writes on 11/13/03: "Cuban sandwich topped w pickle,
deli-mustard sauce complimented the crisp (pan-pressed) Hoagie
bun w Swiss cheese, pressed pork, capicolo ham & salami--better
than in town authentic Cuban restaurant's version. Flavorful
salads, onion appetizer for 4,refillable drinks. Cheerful,
courteous wait staff promptly seated AND served food & drink,
checking frequently if anything more was needed. Brought guests
2 separate occasions after our initial visit. Looking forward to
this winter's visit." |
