rates the food excellent because, "Quality was of the highest
standard." Donato ordered Lobster, filet, shrimps, scallops and
writes, "I was taken to Da Ru ma for my birthday 01/11/04 i
turned the big 40, I ordered the lobster and filet which is one
the best combination you can get, I have not ever tasted
anything better anywhere else before. It's that quality of the
food and service I receive there that keeps me coming back.

4/14/2003: "We arrived five minutes late for our reservation. We
were twelve people to celebrate the birthdays of two six year
olds. The maitre d' said since we were late ,our reservation
would not be honored. We argued and discussed this with him for
ten minutes, he was rude and adamant about having us leave. We
are regular customers and members of the birthday club. We shall
never visit that restaurant again."

writes on 9/18/2000: "Da Ru Ma Japanese Restaurant is one of the
best, if not THE best, Japanese Restaurant Sarasota has to
offer. Not only do you have the beautiful view of the water, but
the inside decor and the whole ambiance cannot help but set the
tone for a most romantic and enjoyable meal. Our family opted
for the Teppan Yaki style (tableside cooking) meal, we have a 3
year old and a 9 year old, so that was quite entertaining for
them both. The kids had Chicken and my husband and I opted for
the steak, shrimp and lobster combination. The portions were
quite large and everything was perfectly cooked to order. My
only disappointment was the fact that you can no longer order
Sushi from the Sushi Bar as an appetizer, due to the time
involved in preparation. They don't want to make the entire
table wait for us to get the appetizer. Overall, I'd rank Da Ru
Ma an almost perfect "10"!"
