Susan O'Neill party of 2 rated the
shrimp scampi and mahi mahi fair because, "ok. We waited 1 hour
for a table and then another hour to get our food" and writes on
April 28, 2009, "We had to wait outside on the deck for over 1
hour to get a table. We had a couple of drinks and then after
over 1 hour we were given a table in a very crowded dining room.
It was loud and we felt as though we were on top of everybody
there. Conversation was difficult due to the crowd and noise
level. After ordering, it took another hour to receive our meal.
I had shrimp scampi and it was good but the rice was cold and
clumpy. My husband had mahi mahi and it was good. You have to
pay extra for salads or anything in addition to the main course.
The waitress never came back to ask us if we needed anything
else or if we even wanted a drink or anything else. It might be
ok to go when the busy season is over but I didn't find the
staff to be friendly or helpful at all so I probably wouldn't go
back"

Crow's Nest is the best seafood restaurant in Venice, FL. My husband and I
live in Venice part-time. When we are in Venice, we make sure there is a trip
to the Crow's Nest included in our agenda.
We especially like the Grouper Key Largo. It has the freshest grouper, shrimp,
crab and scallops we have ever tasted. It is toped off with béarnaise sauce.
Also, the bouillabaisse is fantastic. The soup is fantastic!!! It is the
best!!!!
We have taken are friends and family to the Crow's Nest each and every time
they visit us in Venice, FL." |
