Alice party of 2 had lunch at Cha Cha Coconuts and
rated the food excellent because, "Excellent Tony's salad and
Typhoon Fries (wish I had a recipe for fries)" and writes on
March 23, 2007, "We ate at this place three time this week (our
vacation week), mostly lunch time, and the food was great,
service was great too...but like someone said before, check your
bill before you pay...mistakes are being made, so, if you don't
check your bill it's your loss and their gain. Overall...Not too
bad. I wish I had a recipe for their typhoon fries, they were
great!...we had them twice in our three visits."

Ed Roper writes on 1/16/2004: "I have been to this
restaurant over a hundred times in the last ten years. To me
this is one of Sarasota's greatest restaurants as far as
ambiance. The musician that plays the steal drums gives you the
feeling you off in a tropical island. The people and cars also
the sunset make this one of the finest atmospheres on this
planet. The last 2 times I went there however. I felt like it
was such a con job.
I like to get there early and catch some happy hour before
dinner. This last trip 1/16/04 the bill according to our
calculations was 21.07. The bill we received was 38.87. We asked
the waitress if she could bring us a break down and she
explained she thru it away. Then we got the manager and he
lowered the bill but it was still 5.00 over what we were suppose
to pay. So just for the sake of arguing we were willing to
compromise and leave.
PAYING 15.00 TO MUCH FOR OUR FOOD AND DRINKS.
Eight months before in March I had a party of 24 we were having
a great time until the bill . I was charged 46.00 for a rum and
diet coke. You think a sure mistake . Wrong the manager wanted
to argue with me because for that one 4oz glass of rum they had
to use 9 different rums. This kind of treatment makes one of the
best places in Sarasota have the credibility of a pawn shop.
ALWAYS CHECK YOUR BILL AT CHA CHA'S"
