Billie & Darren Janaway had breakfast and rated the
food excellent because, "the taste, presentation and overall value
for money." and writes on February 19, 2005: "It was the last day of
our holiday and we wanted to eat off the beaten track. The service
and the quality of food eaten there was both authentic Floridian and
great value for money. The ladies working there were very busy but
very attentive and the food was delivered quickly and hot. We are
holidaying in Florida again this summer and we are definitely going
back to the Blue Cafe again." John W. Held writes on 3/17/2003: "My wife and I were
visiting the Sarasota area for the first time, and we stayed at the
Helmsley Sandcastle on Ben Franklin Dr. about a mile from the Blue
Dolphin Cafe and St. Armands Circle. We liked walking
in to St Armands Circle. The Blue Dolphin is not expensive; it's
right in the middle of all those stores that my wife likes to visit.
You may have to wait for a seating because the Cafe was filled both
times that we went there; but we didn't have to wait very long
either time.
The location is great; the eggs were cooked just right; the coffee
was fine, and we can't think what more you'd want for a breakfast. I
rate the food excellent and not expensive. The cafe is small, hence
the idea that you may have to wait a bit." The
anonymous party of 4 visited on 12/1/2002 and enjoyed waffles,
pancakes, French toast "Blue Dolphin Cafe is one of the best
breakfast restaurants I have ever eaten, even though I live in
Pennsylvania. It's staff is very welcoming and are great at
turning over tables quickly. On the weekends it can get a bit
busy because the food is so excellent and extremely
kid-friendly, but you can walk around at the shops in St.
Armands as your waiting, so it's not so bad. The restaurant is a
nice casual place for dining where your children and you feel
very welcome. The food is prepared home-style with great big
portions. I really love Blue Dolphin. and you should try it
too!" |
