"everything was wonderfully prepared!" and he writes on 1/28/2004:
"The Bayou Steakhouse was excellent, and the next time I'm out
near Sarasota, I will be sure to drop in. The Grouper Reuben was
very delectable, and the cole slaw that accompanied the meal was
even better. It was, quite possibly, the best cole slaw I've
ever tasted. I asked the chef to prepare a large order to go. He
graciously set me with up 3 lbs! My companion had one of the
Salads, but I can't for the life of me recall the exact name,
only that it was definitely vegetarian, and she was very
pleased. The service was attentive, and the bar staff was very
friendly. The ambiance was very calming, right out on the bayou.
Kudos to the staff and the chef! I live in San Francisco, so I
have plenty of opportunities to eat in fine dining
establishments, and I would highly recommend the Bayou
Steakhouse."
