Lido Key is located in the municipal limits of the
City of Sarasota. Sarasota County, a separate government,
operates and maintains the beaches on Lido Key. There are
several hotels on Lido Key and a number of smaller motels
and condominiums that offer vacation rentals.

Florida is one of the few states that routinely tests water quality.
North Lido Beach is located on Lido Key, one quarter mile northwest of St. Armands Circle, off of John Ringling Blvd. at the intersection Ben Franklin Drive. There is parking for fewer than 20 cars.
The beach is easy to get to and very private. Please note that there are no lifeguards on duty at this beach and the currents are very swift.
Years ago, North Lido was known as allowing topless sunbathing. Although, that is no longer the case as nude sunbathing is prohibited by Sarasota city ordinance.

Lido Beach, the main public beach on Lido Key, is one half mile southwest of St. Armand's Circle, on Ben Franklin Drive.

Lido Key Public Beach is a favorite stop for pepole looking to enjoy
the sunset view.
The Seabreeze Concession operates
the Lido Beach Restaurant at the public beach pavilion. Open daily from
9 AM weather depending.
South Lido Park
is located on Ben Franklin Drive at the southern tip of Lido
Key. The park is bordered by four bodies of water; The Gulf of
Mexico, Big Pass, Sarasota Bay, and Brushy Bayou.
At a separate facility at the north end of the park, visitors
can enjoy a nature trail which includes scenic overlooks.
The southern beach portion of the park offers views of the skyline of downtown Sarasota and the Gulf. It features a picnic area shaded by Australian Pines.
